We often find it easy or at least easier for strangers to be inspiring, and we always assume what they went through in order to become such inspiring figures. It always felt a bit unfair to them and to us, unfair because We would build up different scenarios about their lives in our heads, one scenario have them fighting everything and everyone in order to become who they are, another scenario makes it sound like they had it super easy, their living conditions were superb, their environment wasn't only supportive but they were practically raised by geniuses and them personally are the epitome of discipline and dedication, and we start expecting ourselves to be like them with no regard our complete ignorance of the contexts that shaped them. So while people on paper or on stage or on TV might inspire us, We need to learn how to stop aspiring to be them and start looking for more relatable figures in our lives. Friends, Family, and Teachers people who we know a bit more and seem a lot more human and a lot less polished and edited. Yeah, they are normal, mundane and utterly human because we know their details; flaws and everything! but that is what makes them so inspiring when We actually see what they are capable of, what they are passionate about, what they have picked to pursue regardless of the context that we know.
